We traveled to Scranton, PA on Friday and although we had to return Saturday we had a great 24 hour trip to be with family. So here's the long anticipated Scranton highlights reel!

Alan was asked to give the invocation prayer at the NFL Player's Gala and the JB Awards. Alan got to meet some players and had a lengthy conversation with James Brown (the broadcaster). He also was asked last year to give the prayer. This year, Scott Pinto (brother-in-law) joined Alan at the D.C. Hilton for the Gala. More about the Gala and the fundraiser here. The Gala was taped and will be broadcasted sometime in October. About 1200 people were in attendance. It was a fun night.

Easter Day was a wonderful flurry of services and driving to NJ for a late Easter dinner. This picture of Rowan giggling getting in the car seems to be the only one of him (or our family for that matter) on Easter Day. He spiffed up real good with his blazer and khaki's.He loved running around Pop's and Lolly's ~We enjoyed the Easter celebrations with Pop Pop and it brings him such joy to be with this little skutch~Not all the animals were ready for Spring just yet at Van Suan Park but Rowan was interested in everything~ Bobcats, Elks, and Praire Dogs Oh My!An Easter Monday picture will have to count as our Easter 09 pic! Lake
