Memorial Day WeekendA busy weekend at the lake for Rowan! There are tons of "new" toys at Lolly and Pop's lake house for Rowan to explore. The train and trucks are tops on the list. With the pool and hose of lake water the water-playtime for Rowan is endless and makes him very happy.Rowan also did his chores by helping Lolly plant and watching Pops power wash the house and work on the dock. I waited until Rowan's meltdown point one day to introduce bubbles and it did the trick - he was very happy to blow them himself but he is still somewhat skeptical that they disappear when he catches them.

Rowan is talking up a storm and really putting words together that we all can understand, "Mommy up please" and his personal favorite this week (loud and clear) "Bye-Bye Boat!" Here he is giving us the "Alan look". Scary.

This weekend Rowan got a little taste of life at the lake house as a "big boy" this spring.

Rowan and Mommy traveled to NJ last week to help with a garage sale at Pop Pops. Rowan helped sort, unsort, price and pull off price stickers! He even helped push some merchandise.
It wasn't all work - there was some play in there too!

And then there was the after party!

The Sr. Rudnicks came to visit Ballston Spa for the first time. We had a wonderful time together.

We traveled to Scranton, PA on Friday and although we had to return Saturday we had a great 24 hour trip to be with family. So here's the long anticipated Scranton highlights reel!

The boys take to each other so well! Cousins Connor (left) and Kyle (right) shared with and cared for Rowan! Such cute little men!
We all had fun with the hotel pool time but Rowan only wanted to swim with Daddy.

Alan was asked to give the invocation prayer at the NFL Player's Gala and the JB Awards. Alan got to meet some players and had a lengthy conversation with James Brown (the broadcaster). He also was asked last year to give the prayer. This year, Scott Pinto (brother-in-law) joined Alan at the D.C. Hilton for the Gala. More about the Gala and the fundraiser here. The Gala was taped and will be broadcasted sometime in October. About 1200 people were in attendance. It was a fun night.

Easter Day was a wonderful flurry of services and driving to NJ for a late Easter dinner. This picture of Rowan giggling getting in the car seems to be the only one of him (or our family for that matter) on Easter Day. He spiffed up real good with his blazer and khaki's.He loved running around Pop's and Lolly's ~We enjoyed the Easter celebrations with Pop Pop and it brings him such joy to be with this little skutch~Not all the animals were ready for Spring just yet at Van Suan Park but Rowan was interested in everything~ Bobcats, Elks, and Praire Dogs Oh My!An Easter Monday picture will have to count as our Easter 09 pic! Hope you all have a Blessed Day!
