Fall is a quick season up here and we're enjoying making the most of every day. Anticipating a cold winter we're outside everyday no matter the forecast! A family trip to the corn maze, playing in the leaves, daily walks, and a still-to-be-had trip to the pumpkin patch are some of these activities that keep our little ones in the fresh air and worn out by days end.

A blustery week in New Jersey! I traveled solo down to USR for Mom's garage sale and of course Rowan and Evangeline were along for the ride as well. I don't recommend traveling without a co-pilot during these early car seat days! I was able to help go through my belongings in the attic and put some things aside for the children but when it came to helping with much more than coffee and dishes it was I who needed the help! Rowan is very busy and very awake lately! Eva is a sweet girl but loves to be held, as she should. My slings, some new toys at Lolly's, and Pops attention smoothed out the trip.Eva, 10 weeks

Had to say goodbye last night to Audrey who visited from Maryland for a nice long weekend! It was great to have her for "a day in the life" of our new family of 4. Rowan misses her already saying, "Audrey go airport?" And each time I told him we were going to the laundry room he kept wanting to head for Audrey's room! It was wonderful to create new memories of Audrey and Eva just as we have so many memories of Audrey helping us welcome Rowan to the family.

We were so happy to have Aunt Robin and Tyler (4 1/2) visit us last week. We miss our Maryland family and cherish each moment we get to spend with them. This was a big week for Rowan he:

learned some new hip hop dance moves, got a new hairdo, took a cue from Tyler and was gentle and loving with Evangeline, learned how to throw money in fountains (thanks?),took nature walks and observed all about acorns, and especially important, he bonded with his aunt, and cousin.

Evangeline is 6 weeks old and continues to be a dream of a baby.

Her 1 month checkup went great and she is following in her brothers foot steps being in the 90th% in height, weight, and head circumference. She is smiling and cooing when she interacts with us and her toys. As soon as we can catch it in action we'll post the proof!

Sunday she got all dolled up for service and was an angel during our worship time. We love you sweet baby!

Rowan spent half the time his cousins were in town putting their crocs on his feet. It became evident that he sweat his cousins foot gear. Good thing we discovered his love for these easy to wear and wash sandals as we were ready to replace his old sandals. Rowan looks forward to putting them on himself and loves to show them off - hence the photo!

Our time at the lake,...

It's tradition to take family photos after service at Lakeside Chapel the Sunday Alan preaches. Past years we've had great luck of snapping super shots of each family unit and grandparents with grandkids. This year we were lucky to get photos of any of them - it was a crazy one!

All of our family is so special. This summer our family was especially beautiful in the way they loved and cared for us. Thank you everyone.

What a joy to have a little girl in our family. Evangeline has adjusted perfectly to coming home from the hospital. She is enjoying the kisses from her brother and Rowan loves holding her. Her Lolly (Karen), Pops (Louie), Memme(Phyllis), and Grandpa (Bob) have spent quality time with her.
